This is extremely moist and comes from
Sugar Spun Run. It uses butter and oil. You fold in stiffly beaten egg whites. I made half and it took the full 40 minutes to bake in a 9" x 2" square dish. I added 1/4 cup chopped maraschino cherries, 1/4 teaspoon almond extract, and I used my own frosting recipe. A cake cannot get any moister than this one and it has good flavor. The top sunk a little from me testing it for doneness several times.
I grade it an A++.
